Summary

Tim Vi Tran is the Founder and President of The Ivy Group. He has over 20 experience advising corporations on commercial real estate strategies, with a focus on disposition, acquisition and leasing activities. His industry expertise spans adaptive reuse, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, eCommerce, logistics automation, robotics and software. Mr. Tran offers best-in-class solutions by leveraging innovation with market conditions to tactically identify the best return on investments using data driven, financial analytics.

Mr. Tran specializes in industrial and office properties, and has assisted numerous clients in lease negotiations, selected sites for expansion, analyzed investment and provided strategic consultation & risk management. His breadth of experience, technology savviness combined with business and community backgrounds increase his understanding of business requirements, resulting in customized solutions to solve unique challenges, while balancing long-term strategies with short-term expediency to create, grow and maintain value.

In 1999, Mr. Tran pursued his passion for commercial real estate. Prior to establishing his real estate career, Mr. Tran served sixteen years as a Naval officer. After the Navy, Mr. Tran was a lead engineer developing mechanical systems for Naval aircraft carriers & battleship destroyers. Mr. Tran then spent eight years as a high technology consultant advising Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin.

Mr. Tran is one of the handful of licensed Bay Area real estate agents that holds both the prestigious SIOR and CCIM designations. To achieve these designations, Mr. Tran must have completed at lease fifteen years of creditable experience in real estate, met stringent education requirements and demonstrated professional ability, competency, ethical conduct and personal integrity.

Mr. Tran earned a Master’s of Science in Administration in Software Engineering from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
